Amazing place where you can eat like a local and in the spirit of the old restaurants style. Food is basic in terms of presentation, but fresh and locally sourced. Staff is supernice and the proportion quality-prices just great. I will come back!

Typical Portuguese food, great quality home-made grade with generous portions. The atmosphere is very homey, as well.

We loved this restaurant so much we became regulars for lunch here during our week-long stay in Arcos.You'll find an excellent choice of great value and tasty dishes here. We enjoyed the posta and accompaniments, everything cooked to perfection, and the house vinho verde is very good. And, if you're looking for good service, look no further.. staff are a credit to this establishment. We were always greeted with smile and a super welcome, and the attentive and thoughtful service made our dining experiences ones to remember.In summary, Manjar das Hortas consistently ticked all our boxes and we can't wait to return very soon.

Simple restaurant for consistently good Portuguese food at very reasonable prices. Friendly, efficient staff. We've been coming here every year since we visited this area about 30 years ago and still come now that we live here and we've never been disappointed . The chef and his son speak English very well. Recommend reserving on market days and summer months, esp August as there's usually a queue at lunchtime.

I have been a customer for 30 years. Food consistently of high quality. Prices very reasonable. Service very efficient and pleasant.Owner/cook Perfeto brings in his experience of cooking on international cruise ships. He speaks good English.

Manjar Das Hortas was one of the first restaurants we visited in Arcos when we discovered the town several years ago. The restaurant was recommended by our hotel concierge and we were not disappointed. Since our first experience we have had the opportunity to dine here several times and explore the menu more fully. We have always found the food and service excellent and equally important, consistent. We hope you enjoy it as mush as we do.

For someone who doesn't speak Portuguese. Finding a friendly family run business with good food who spoke English made for a great night. Found memories from Australia.
